Nota 2: Ela pode atingir de 10 a 15 metros de altura, portadora de fortes espinhos, bem ramificada, apresentando extremidade dos galhos pendente e espinhosa; frutos comestíveis e madeira usada na construção civil e em marcenaria. Suas cascas têm propriedades antidiabéticas, tônicas e adstringentes.
