CHISSÔ
Planta da família Labiatae, da espécie Perilla frutescens Britt. var. crispa Decne e cultivares: Aka-dissô (vermelho) e Ao-dissô (verde).
Nota 1 e 2: Os cultivares são indicados para produção no Brasil. Ele é de cultivo de verão, desenvolvendo-se bem em temperaturas que atingem 25ºC ou mais, floresce precocemente em dias curtos e é sensível às geadas. As folhas adultas são usadas em pratos de peixe cru (sashimi) e para o preparo de frituras com massa (tempurá), pratos da culinária japonesa.

Note 1 and 2: The cultivars are highly recommended to be produced in Brasil. It is typical crop of summer developing well in hot temperatures, which can reach 25 º C, or more. The flowering has a short period and is very sensitive to frosts. The adult leaves are used to make typical Japanese dishes such as sashimi (raw fish) and tempurá (fried vegetables).
