CHORÃO
Árvore da família Salicaceae, gênero Salix, da espécie S. babylonica L. (S. pendula Moench, S. propendes Ser.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ele é muito difundido nos estados do sul do Brasil, principalmente ao longo dos cursos d’água e dos lagos. Ele tem porte mediano, ornamental, com ramos longos, pêndulos, que ás vezes atinge o solo. Suas folhas são alternas, pecíolos bem curtos, simples, linear-lanceoladas, verde-pálidas, geralmente glabras na página inferior.

It has an average height, ornamental, with long leaning branches reaching the ground, sometimes. Its leaves are alternate, very short petioles, simple, linear-lanceolate, palegreen, usually hairless on the inferior page.
