Plantas da família Labiatae, do gênero Coleus, das espécies Coleus blumei Bth. e C. escutellarioides Bth.
Nota 1 e 2: Elas ocorrem em todo o Brasil. A primeira é herbácea e ereta, atingindo até 1 m de altura; possui ramos frágeis; folhas pecioladas opostas, cujos limbos apresentam formas e cores variadas, atingindo até 15 cm de comprimento; as flores são pequenas, azuis, e dispostas em racimos alongados e verticilados. A segunda espécie é herbácea, de caules e ramos sulcados geralmente lisos; folhas pecioladas, ovadas, arredondadas na base, com aproximadamente 6 cm de comprimento, cujos limbos mostram coloração de muitos matizes; flores azuladas, pequenas, bilabiadas, dispostas em racimos de 32 cm ou mais.

The second species is herbaceous, with furrowed (and generally smooth) branches and stems; the leaves are petiolated, ovate, rounded in the basis, and with approximately 6 cm of length, its laminas show many colour nuances; the flowers are bluish, small, bilabiate and disposed in 32 cm (or more) racemes.
