Resina vegetal da família Leguminosae, da espécie Hymenaea courbaril L. (H. stilbocarpa Hayne).
Nota 1 e 2: Ocorre do Nordeste ao Paraná.Sua principal propriedade é a solubilidade, sendo solvente ideal o terpineol, derivado da terebentina, utilizado na fabricação dos vernizes secativos. Quando reduzida a pó, pode ser aplicada na forma de xarope nos distúrbios respiratórios.

Note 1 and 2: It is found in the Northeast region until the state of Paraná in Brazil. Its main property is its solubility, being the terpineol an ideal solvent from turpentine, used to produce drying varnishes. When reduced to powder, it can be applied as a syrup in respiratory diseases.
