COUVE-DE-BRUXELAS
Hortaliça da família Cruciferaceae (Brassicaceae), da espécie Brassica oleraceae, da variedade gemmifera, cujos principais cultivares são o Nagaoka (híbrido), franceses e americanos.
Nota 2: Ela é pouco consumida no Brasil, cujas folhas formam repolhinhos juntos ao caule da planta. A colheita é iniciada 90 a 120 dias após a semeadura e prolonga-se por 6 meses. Cortam-se os repolhinhos, quando eles atingem 2 a 3 cm de diâmetro ou 10 a 12 g. Logo em seguida, eles são acondicionados em saquinhos plásticos e remetidos para o comércio.

The small buds are cut when they reach 2-3 cm of diameter or 10-12 g. Soon after, they are packed into small plastic bags and sent to the market.
