Arbusto da família Myrtaceae, da espécie Calyptranthes aromatica St.Hill.
Nota 1 e 2: Ele é nativo do Rio de Janeiro e de Minas Gerais. Ele é pequeno, ornamental, atingindo até 3 m de altura. Possui folhas grandes, unidas, opostas, oblongo-elípticas, de ápice agudo, flores brancas, olorosas, em panículas e os frutos são bagas, que encerram óleo essencial com perfume de limão. O pó da casca dos caules é codimentar e carminativo.

Note 1 and 2: It is native of the states of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. It is small, ornamental, reaching until 3 m of height. Its leaves are big, united, opposite, elliptical oblong, of acute appex, white oily flowers in panicles and its fruits are berries, which have an essential oil with lemon scent. Its stem bark powder is spicy and carminative.
