Leguminosa da família Fabaceae, da espécie Pueraria javanica Benth ou Pueraria phaseoloides (Roxb.) Benth.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é nativa do sudeste da Ásia, da Malásia e da Indonésia. Ela é perene, rasteira, de crescimento vigoroso. As folhas são trifoliadas, flores de cor violeta, vagens pequenas e pubescentes. Também é utilizada como adubo verde ou cobertura vegetal perene em culturas como seringueira, dendê e coco, além de possuir ótimas qualidades nutritivas quando utilizada como forragem para o gado.
