CURUÁ-IUKIRA
Planta da família Palmae, da espécie Maximiliana attaleoides Barb. Rodr. (Attalea transitive Barb. Rodr.; Englerophoenix aataleoides Barb. Rodr.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela ocorre na Amazônia. Ela é acaule, de folhas elegantes que atingem até 6 m de comprimento. Fruto drupa pequena, ovóide, de epicarpo e mesocarpo alourado e fibroso, endocarpo ósseo, oblongo-agudo, ferrugíneo, monospérmico, de amêndoa comestível.

Note 1 and 2: It occurs in Amazonia. It has no stem; the leaves are elegant reaching until 6m long. The fruit is an oblong small drupe covered by a brownish coat of 8.5 x 5 cm of diameter. It has a fibrous yellow epicarp and mesocarp and a brownish bony acute oblong endocarp, monospermous that is with one edible nut.
