Planta da família Palmae, da espécie Orbignya agrestis (Barb. Rodr.) Burret.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela ocorre nos campos silicosos dos rios Vaninocha e Jamundá na Amazônia. Ela é acaule e de porte reduzido. Fruto drupa pequena, alourada, tomentosa, ovoidal, trisperma. A sua amêndoa é exportada para as indústrias de óleo de Santarém e Belém do Pará.

A palm tree of the family Palmae, of the species Orbignya agrestis (Barb. Rodr.) Burret.
Note 1 and 2: It occurs in siliceous fields of Vaninocha and Jamundá Rivers in Amazonia. It has a stem but of reduced size. The fruit is a round yellow fleshy drupe with three seeds. Its nuts are exported to the oil manufacturing plants of Santarém and Belém do Pará.
