Árvore da família Sapotaceae, da espécie Richardella macrophylla Aubrev.( Richardella rivicoa Pierre; Lucuma rivicoa Gaert.; Chrysophyllum macrophyllum Lam.; Lucuma acreana Krause; Poutexia macrophylla (Lam) Eyma; Vittelaria rivicoa Radlk.).
Nota 1 e 2: Sua ocorrência é amplamente centro-sul-americana, notadamente das Guianas à Amazônia, Nordeste e Mato Grosso. É grande, atingindo 30 m de altura, de bela copa densa e com formato de cone invertido; fruto baga globoso-oblonga, piriforme, verde, de polpa doce, cor de gema de ovo, saborosa, pastosa e muito apreciada.

Note 1 and 2: It is present in the central southern America, especially in the Guyana to Amazonia, the Brazilian northeast and Mato Grosso state. It is big reaching 30 m of height, beautiful and branchy canopy of an inverted cone shape. The fruit is a round berry, which is pyriform, green, with a sweet yellow egg color pulp that is flavored, creamy and highly appreciated.
