Nota 2: Ele tem de 2 a 3 m de altura, cresce no sub-bosque das matas e capoeiras. As suas folhas e frutos contêm uma saponina ácida (ácido monofluoracético), muito tóxica e responsável por grandes prejuízos à pecuária dos estados centrais.
