Árvore da família Sapotaceae, da espécie Chrysophyllum macoucou Aubl. (Aubletella macoucou Pierre).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é nativa das matas das regiões limítrofes brasileiras; Ela tem entre 5-12 m de altura, é ramificada; As suas folhas são alternas, simples, inteiras, reunidas nos cimos dos galhos, curtopecioladas, glabras e verdes no verso e reverso do limbo; As suas flores são hermafroditas; O seu fruto é baga ovóide piriforme, medindo 3-6 cm x 2-4 cm de diâmetro, amarelo-laranja ou alaranjado na plena maturação, conservando os restos do cálice na base, com 3-4 sementes achatadas, pardacentas, agudas, envoltas em polpa brancacenta, doce, comestível.

Note 1 and 2: It is native from the Brazilian woods and bordering regions. It has 5-12 m of height and it is branched. Its leaves are alternated, simple, and whole, united in the peak of the branches, short-petiolated, hairless and green on the verse and backside of the blade. Its flowers are hermaphrodite. Its fruit is an ovoid berry that has a pear shape and measure 3-6 cm x 2-4 cm of diameter, it is yellow-orange or orange when mature, keeping the calix remains on its base, with 3-4 flattened, brown, sharp seeds that are wrapped on a white, sweet and edible pulp.
