CAMAPU-TOMATE
Planta herbácea da família Solanaceae, da espécie Physalis angulata L. (P. arenaria Hort.; P. capsifolia Dunal; P. ciliata Sieb. & Zucc.; P. dubia Link.; P. flexuosa Russ., P. ixocarpa Brot.; P. lanceifolia Nees.; P. linkiana Nees.; P. patula Mill.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é típica do estado do Amazonas, aparecendo nas feiras de Manaus durante quase todo o ano. Ela é anual, ereta e ruderal, com altura de 1-1,30 m. Fruto é baga ovóide, medindo 1-2 cm de comprimento, glabra, lisa, cor vermelha, de popla mole e usado como tomate para elaboração de molhos, xaropes e geléias. É também medicinal, principalmente pela infusão das raízes, eficaz como calmante e diurético.

Note 1 and 2: It is typical of the state of Amazonas, present in the open markets of Manaus during the whole year. It is annual, straight and ruderal reaching 1-1.30 cm of height. Its fruit is an ovoid drupe of 1-2 cm of length, glabrous, smooth, red, soft pulp and used as tomatoes to make sauces, syrups and jellies. It is also condidered a medicinal plant, mainly by the root infusion, as a tranquilizer and diuretic medicine.
