CAMBOATÁ
Árvore da família Meliaceae, da espécie Guarea trichilioides L.
Nota 1 e 2: Sua distribuição geográfica se estende desde as Antilhas e Guianas até os estados do Amazonas, Acre, São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro. As plantas têm folhas compostas, com folíolos opostos de 6-10 pares, sendo que estes possuem pecíolos curtos. As flores formam panículas de 5-22 cm e são pubescentes. O ovário é seríceo, com lóculos biovulados e estigma discoide. O fruto é do tipo capsula e possui sementes elípticas, quando ingerido por garrotes, pode causar sintomas como apatia, emagrecimento, salivação exacerbada e morte em alguns casos.

Note 1 and 2: It occurs from the Antilles and the Guianas until the Brazilians states of Acre, Amazonas, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The plants have composed leaves, with opposed leaflets of 6-10 cm that have short petioles. The flowers form panicles 5-22 cm long and are pubescent. The ovary of the flower is sericeous and has locules with 2 ovules and a discoid stigma. The fruit is a capsule and when ingested by young cattle it can cause symptoms as apathy, lost of weight, excessive salivation and, in some cases, it can lead to death.
