Planta rasteira da família Compositae, da espécie Anthemis nobilis L.
Nota 2: Ela é vivaz, amarga e aromática. Seu emprego é conhecido desde tempos remotos devido às suas propriedades medicinais. A infusão, preparada a partir de capítulos colhidos antes do desenvolvimento total, é usada como tônico, carminativo, estimulante estomático, digestivo e antiespasmódico. É também usada no combate a crises nervosas e a febre tifoide.
