Planta da família Poaceae da espécie Paspalum gueonarum Arech.
Nota 1 e 2: Ele foi introduzido no Brasil via Paraguai e Argentina. Ele vegeta bem em solos médios e regiões onde a temperatura varia entre 0 e 40 °C, ele é bastante resistente ao frio e à geada, e suporta bem a seca. Ele é perene, rizomatoso, e floresce no período das águas, ele inicia a estação seca com forragem de boa qualidade. A propagagação é feita via sementes.

Note 1 and 2: It was introduced in Brazil through Paraguai and Argentina. It vegetates well in medium soils and regions in which the temperature varies between 0 and 40°C; it is very resistant to cold, to freeze and it nicely endures the drought. It is perennial, rhizomatous and it flourishes during the rainfall; it starts the drought season with a good quality forage. The propagation is executed via seeds.
