CAPRIFOLIÁCEAS
Família Caprifoliaceae, de arvoretas e arbustos, o único gênero que produz frutos toleravelmente édulos é Sambucus.
Nota 2: Possui folhas simples, opostas; estípulas ausentes ou muito pequenas; flores hermafroditas, algumas vezes arranjadas em pequenas umbelas; cálice 3-5 lobulado; corola gamopétala, 5-lobulada, 5 estames (às vezes 4); ovário ínfero, 2-5 lóculos; estilete terminal, quase sempre delgado; óvulos 1 ou mais; fruto pequeno, baga ou drupa.
It’s the family compoounded of shrubs and small trees, the only genus that produces tolerably edible fruits is Sambucus.
Note 2: It has simple and opposite leaves. The stipules are absent or very small. the flowers are hermaphrodite, sometimes arranged in small umbels. The calyx has 3-5 lobes; the corolla is gamopetalous, 5 lobes, and there are 5 stamens (sometimes only 4); the ovary is inferior, 2-5 locules, the style is terminal, often slender, ovules 1 or more, the fruit (berry or drupe) is small.
