Algas de cor amarela por possuírem cromóforos amarelos dominantes, ricos em xantofila, que é um pigmento de cor de natureza ternária dos carotenóides, com oxigênio na estrutura molecular e caroteno sem oxigênio na sua estrutura, pigmento amarelo-avermelhado presente na sintetização das plantas, contento ainda cristais tabulares, romboédricos, de cor vermelho-cobre, mais ou menos aveludados.

Yellow algae because they have yellow dominant chromophores, rich in xanthophyl which is a pigment of carotenoid ternary nature with oxygen in the molecular structure and caroten with no oxygen in its structure. A yellowish red pigment present in plant sinthesizing which has velvet red copper rhomboedrical tabular shape crystals.
