Árvore da família Rosaceae, da espécie Licania micrantha Miq. (L. helvola Spruce).
Nota 2: Ela atinge 20 m de altura x 1 m de diâmetro e possui porte avultado; possui folhas pecioladas, oblongas de ápice acuminado, medindo até 15 cm de comprimento, coriáceas, luzidias no dorso e densamente pubescentes na face ventral; flores grupadas em panículas ramificadas e amplas, sendo as flores pequenas e sésseis. Fruto piriforme, pubescente, sulcado, os maiores com 3 cm de comprimento, comestível, mais usado para compor refrescos.

The flowers, which are small and sessile, are gathered in ramified and broad panicles. The fruit is piriformis, pubescent and furrowed, the biggest ones reach 3 cm of length, it's edible and used for juices.
