Nome dado algumas plantas daninhas espinhentas da família Compositae, a mais comum é Cirsium vulgare (Savi) Tenore.
Nota 1 e 2: São nativas da Europa e da Ásia, no Brazil são encontradas quase que exclusivamente na região Sul. Elas são bianuais, rústicas, com 80-150 cm de altura. São fortemente armadas por espinhos pungentes e muito indesejadas em pastos devidos aos ferimentos que podem causar aos animais.

Note 1 and 2: They are native of Europe and Asia, in Brazil they are mainly found in the South region. They are biannual, rustic, with 80-150 cm of height. They are strongly armed with pungent thorns and they are very undesirable in pastures because of the injuries they can cause to the animals.
