CASTANHA-DE-CIPÓ-ESPINHENTA
Arbusto da família Malpighiaceae, da espécie Dicella holosericea Juss. (Bunchosia holosericea Mart.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ele está presente da Bahia a São Paulo. Ele é escandente e sarmentoso. Possui folhas opostas, pecioladas, ovadas, inteiras, glabras na face superior, prateada na inferior. Flores amarelo-claras em corimbos axilares, pétalas 5, estames 10; fruto noz monospérmica revestida de pelos irritantes e dolorosos.

Note 1 and 2: It occurs from Bahia state until Sao Paulo state. It is scandent and sarmentose. It has opposite, petiolated and ovate leaves, which are glabrous in the top surface, and silvery in the bottom one. The flowers are light yellow and gathered in axillary corymbs, they have 5 petals and 10 stamens; the fruit is monospermic nut, which is covered by irritating and painful hair.
