A tree of the family Bombacaceae, of the species Cavanillesia arborea Schum. (Pourretia tuberculata Mart. & Zucc.).
Note 1 and 2: It is native to the northeastern ‘’Sertao’’, of the regions of eutrophic cambisols belonging to the Caatinga formation. The flowers are rosy; the fruit is samaroid, reddish, indehiscent and non-edible.
