International applicants must be aware that if selected in the admission process they will be required to present the following documents at enrollment, otherwise they will not be able to enroll
- Copy of the visa, which should be Temporary IV or Mercosul (PEC-PG students must hold the Temporary Visa IV)
- Copy of the National Registry of Foreigners card (R.N.E.), issued by the Federal Police in Brazil (email@example.com)
The Brazilian government holds a scholarship program called Programa de Estudantes Convênio de Pós-Graduação - PEC/PG through an agreement between the Department of Foreign Affairs , CAPES and CNPq, two national governmental agencies.
The program is intended to grant scholarships to university professors, researchers, professionals and graduates in developing countries with which Brazil keeps cultural, science and technology cooperation agreements.
Portuguese Language Proficiency
International applicants whose native language is not Portuguese are required show evidence of Portuguese proficiency at application. CELPE-Bras is the Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese for Foreigners granted by the Department of Education ( MEC ) and is applied in Brazil and other countries with the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
