Objective
Provide information on morphology, life cycle, classification and phylogeny of plant pathogenic fungi.

Content
Techniques of collection, preservation, isolation and cultivation of phytopathogenic fungi, microcultivation, occurrence, importance, morphology and classification of main groups of phytopathogenic fungi. Basics of molecular biology applied to classification, characterization and phylogeny of phytopathogenic fungi (Myxogastrea, Phytomyxea, Oomycota, Chytridiomycota, Blastocladiomycota, Ascomycota, Basidiomycota and Anamorphic Fungi).
