Planta daninha da família Compositae, de espécie Cosmos caudatus H.B.K.
Nota 1 e 2: Infestante em geral pastagens, beira de estradas, pomares e terrenos baldios, mas particularmente encontrada no Brasil Central, onde pode ser facilmente reconhecida ao longo das rodovias por sua vistosa inflorescência rósea ou lilás. Anual, herbácea, ereta, de 80-150cm de altura.

Note 1 and 2: It infests pastures, roadbanks, orchards, uncultivated areas in general. It is easily found in the central part of Brazil because of its pink and purple inflorescence along the highways. It is annual, herbaceous, straight, of 80-150cm of height. Vulgarization: bur marigold, ox-eye, beggar-ticks, cosmos.
