COAGERUCU
Árvoreta da família Annonaceae, da espécie Xylopia frutescens Aubl. (X. muricata Vell., X. setosa Poir).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é endêmica desde o Paraguai, Venezuela, Guianas, Colômbia e, no Brasil, da Amazônia ao Nordeste até São Paulo. É mais planta condimentar e fibrosa que frutífera, pois, além de ser o fruto usado como tempero, as fibras do tronco servem para o fabrico de cordoalha grosseira.
A small tree of the family Annonaceae, of the species Xylopia frutscens Aubl. (X. muricata Vell., X. setosa Poir).
Note 1 and 2: It is endemic from Paraguay, Venezuela, the Guianas, Colombia and in Brazil, occurs from Amazonia until the Northeast region to São Paulo state. It is highly used as a spicing and fibrous plant than a fruit, because the fruit is used as a spice and the trunk fibers to make crude ropes.
