Objective
To provide the graduate student with the necessary training to communicate efficiently, clearly, and
objectively, both orally and in writing, the content of projects or results of scientific research in the area
of Entomology.

Content
The course is divided into two parts: 1) Lectures on scientific research methods, including literature
review and academic writing; and 2) Hands-on experience with scientific communication through
presentations and writing assignments on a topic in the area of Entomology.
