Objetivo
Como um curso de pós-graduação, considerável ênfase será dada à teoria econômica e suas aplicações
para compreender e analisar problemas econômicos contemporâneos. Os modelos serão desenvolvidos e
explorados no contexto de questões relacionadas ao desenvolvimento e crescimento econômico, e
comércio internacional. Mais especificamente, o objetivo da disciplina é desenvolver habilidades e
conhecimento para o uso de modelos modernos de crescimento econômico, que enfatizam as fontes do
crescimento no curto e longo prazos e, de maneira geral, suas implicações para políticas de
desenvolvimento econômico.

1. Questões sobre o desenvolvimento econômico; 2. Fundamentos microeconômicos; 3.
Desenvolvimento sustentável e meio ambiente; 4. O modelo neoclássico – versão estocástica e outras
adaptações; 5. O papel da tecnologia no crescimento econômico; 6. Taxa de câmbio e termos de troca:
impactos sobre a produtividade; 7. Produtividade, eficiência e progresso técnico; 8. Integração
financeira e movimento de capitais; 9.Instituições e crescimento econômico; 10. Commodities e o
crescimento dos países emergentes.
